Offering children the education they deserve to reach their full potential

Our history

The Fund for Children’s Education was created in 2019 with the aim of supporting families in providing the best education for their children through scholarships to high-quality independent schools. This also enables our partner institutions to better serve their local communities by providing equal access to all.

In 2020, the foundation was able to provide a total of 45 children with full multi-year scholarships to cover their fees for primary education. 

As a charitable foundation, we ensure that 100% of your donation goes directly towards the children we support through school scholarships.

More scholarships will be awarded and new projects created as the foundation grows.

What our support means for our schools

At the Agnes School, we have a number of students who have been able to study with us thanks to a scholarship from the Fund for Children’s Education, and we’re very happy to be part of this programme. We aim to be accessible to as many families as possible with our family and education-focused pedagogical project, especially larger families. The cost of tuition should not be a barrier.

Bruno Vannesson

President
Passionate about the benefits of a nurturing private school education based on traditional values, Mr Vannesson, an investment professional and father, created the foundation in 2019 with several partners.

Christian Descoups

Board member
Christian Descoups is deeply interested in all matters dealing with education and training. He believes that education is key for society's continued and sustainable growth and prosperity. In his view, meeting this huge challenge requires efficiently managed institutions properly suited to the needs and objectives of families.

Jean-Francois Caemaex

Board member
Jean-Francois Caemaex believes that education based on natural and traditional values can only be provided if the same consistent educational approach is shared between family and school. As a former bank director as well as a father and grandfather, he considers attention to education of central importance. He joined the team of founders in 2020.

Alain Verkaeren

Board member
Alain Verkaeren's main areas of interest are education and basic and further training based on Christian values. He believes that lifelong learning is the foundation of a free, sustainable and prosperous society. In his view, educating for freedom and the common good is the responsibility of effective and efficient institutions adapted to the needs and objectives of families.
